phew what a scorcher...for a mini marathon

Year Six are loving this weather...but running a marathon in it?
We went up to Brixham College to take part in a mini marathon yesterday, luckily not the whole 26.2 miles though. We had to work as a team to clock up the miles together. It was hot, but we survived...with lots of water and determination. Here are some photos of us in action!
 Kane, giving it 100%.

 Tom catching up with Belle.
Luke A. showing the girls how it's done!

Go Yasmin! Calum is catching up.
Ciaran and Oscar H. made great running buddies.
Oscar O and Lucas ran almost constantly...this is the final lap and it's fair to say they were exhausted!

Well done Year Six, I'm very proud of you!

Tag Rugby at BC

On a very cold Thursday afternoon we took ourselves off to Brixham College to play Tag Rugby against three other schools from Brixham. Thank you to Miss Fellowes and Mrs Hopper for taking us (they were freezing their socks off on the sidelines!)
Here are some action shots!

 Go Aaliyah!

It can't be that bad Tyler!?

Science Week...instrument designers?

We're up to our eyes in recycling plastic this week. Our challenge is to make musical instruments out of plastic that would other wise be thrown away. Here we are...attempting to make some noise (it was harder than we thought!)

Keep an eye (and an ear) out for future developments.

Battery Garden Trip

As part of our WWII topic, we visited Battery Gardens to find out about Brixham's role. The volunteers were amazing and knew so much information, we toured the gardens and then spent some time in the museum where we got the chance to get "hands on" with a variety of artefacts from that time. Here we are... learning and having fun!

We had a fantastic morning and even managed to avoid the rain!
